Boss Ladies Gettin’ It Done

Our friends at the Boss Ladies have given our radio panel some great recognition:

“As regular Capital Buzz readers know, I love gettin’ the scoop from reporters and editors on what works to get news and stories covered. Well, school may be out but June is proving rich in opportunities to learn from the pros and last week’s News Generation program will be VERY hard to beat – it may have out done WWPR’s traditional classic in this category.
About 50 PR folks from associations, non-profits, PR firms and even government agencies were treated to a panel of five radio producers and assignment editors from the Washington-DC area who quickly warmed to the task of telling us honestly how to do our jobs better.
The panelists included: Meymo Lyons from WAMU, Mitchell Miller from WTOP, David Oziel of Westwood One, Jen Richer from WMAL, and Stephanie Wells from WTGB – a diverse set of stations with different opportunities for coverage, and a diverse set of personalities and styles among the panelists. Also cool was the bargain price for the program that included a huge lunch at Maggiano’s in Chevy Chase (and thank you, News Generation, for having a program someplace other than Tivoli in Roslyn!). Right at a Metro stop, this meant easy access for people coming from DC and Maryland.
If you are among those who missed this but have questions about better use of radio, you might still be able to get a freebie from News Generation — they’re letting folks direct a question to be forwarded to the panelist of your choice by visiting their blog.”

And here you are. Thanks ladies. Check out the Boss Ladies Blog – it is one of the best blogs in town for PR, communications, and professional development events and tips.
