Twitter Train, Twitter Train, Twitter Twain…
I recently jumped on the Twitter train (say that 10 times, fast), and had to jump off quickly before my head exploded. I have no doubt that this tool has some usefulness but I am just not sure I know what it is. Do ideas and messages that people Twitter about spread virally, is that the useful application? Is it an extremely effective networking tool? Or is it as it appears, just a way to keep up with someone’s minute by minute (literally) musings. I am clearly not sold. I understand the idea of more information being valuable, but doesn’t that information have to actually have some value? Does “I just ate a ham sandwich,” “Gotta get some water,” “Late for a meeting,” constitute usable and/or useful information in any context?
I will give it another shot but I would love to be enlightened here by someone who knows.
