A podcast is a three to four minute audio file that includes a narrated introduction and an interview with your spokesperson. Radio reporters and consumers can access them on our content website, www.radionewssource.com, and download them onto their iPod, other MP3 player or personal computer. An alert through an RSS feed will accompany each podcast to inform radio reporters and consumers of the podcast availability. An MP3 file is available for your use internally or to post on your website.

- Ability to put a personal touch and voice to external communications;
- Cost-effective way to distribute content; and
- Ability to reach consumers directly.
The Service Includes:
- Writing the introduction (with your final approval);
- Recording the spokesperson’s interview over the phone;
- Producing the introduction and spokesperson’s interview;
- Placement of podcast on content website www.radionewssource.com and on Radio News Source’s RSS feed;
- Marketing to directories such as: Apple iTunes, Yahoo! Podcasts, Odeo, Podcast.net, Podcast Directory, and Podcast Alley; and
- Final Podcast Usage Report to include the number of downloads for one month following placement of podcast on www.radionewssource.com.
To Begin the Service, the Following
is Needed:
- Background information – a press kit, press releases, fact sheets, and/or newspaper articles to write the introduction;
- Spokesperson’s availability – date(s) and times for recording the spokesperson’s interview;
- A JPEG logo or graphic to distribute to podcast directories; and
- Three business days lead time.
