The saying goes, you should learn from the best, and while it may be easier said than done, on October 30, you certainly have a chance to. PRSA-NCC’s Professional Development Committee is hosting a luncheon featuring guest speaker, Margery Kraus. She is the founder and CEO of APCO Worldwide, a global consulting firm headquartered in Washington, D.C., that specializes in public affairs, communication and business consulting. In 1984, she founded APCO Worldwide, and slowly transformed the company with one small Washington office to a multinational consulting firm in major cities around the world. To say Margery Kraus is an expert in her field is an understatement. She has received a number of distinguished awards for her achievements, including being named as one of 25 in the “PR Power List,” one of 25 “Top Women Business Builders,” one of 50 Most Powerful Women in PR, and one of 50 “Women Who Mean Business.”
During the luncheon, Margery Kraus will offer reflections on her career and her perspective on how public relations have changed over the years, especially with regard to new technologies and social media.
